The video isn't great quality, because I wanted to spend more time viewing the eclipse. I was able to set up the camcorder and let it point at the partially eclipsed Sun. I had a wonderful young lady who had never seen an eclipse before standing near me. Next to seeing a total solar eclipse, showing it to a first timer is one of the most enjoyable things I can do. Her emotions are not unusual; the difficulty of getting to Patagonia, the weather forecasts, the site, a long ride uphill to 1000 m elevation in the snow and wind all made it difficult. The view was absolutely spectacular, and I've seen 12 total solar eclipses. It's why a few of us go to the ends of the Earth to view them. Every once in a while, we get lucky! This time we were lucky!Next annular (ring) eclipse in SW US 20 May 2012; next total 14 Nov 2012 in Australia.
